Stag 9 AR vs. Colt 6450

I'm once again thinking about buy a 9mm AR.
I want to buy the best.
I can buy a Hi Point for about a third of the cost of a Stag 9 or Colt 6450, but I have reservations about it, namely quality, dependability and ease of cleaning.
Alright, there are quite a few 9mm type rifles (not all in AR configurations) out there, even Keltec makes one and if I could find one that uses Glock mags, I would consider it. Though I don't know about it's quality. Some of Keltec's stuff is questionable. I don't however buy used guns anymore. I've had bad luck with used guns, so no more for me.
One of the features I find attractive about the Stag 9 is the mag well isn't shimmed (for lack of a better word) like the Colt 6450. It's mag well is precisely designed to take a 9mm magazine. I like that. However, I don't know if the overall quality is as good as the Colt? They cost about the same, which is in the $1000.00 range
Enough blathering...Anyone here know for a fact THE best quality 9mm rifle on the market? (assuming there is such a thing) If it is the Colt, well O.K., I can live with the oversized/adjusted mag well, but if the Stag is equal in quality, I like it's design more that of the Colt
I'm all ears!!
Thanks!

I used to have a drop-in magwell for Colt-style 9mm magazines so that I could swap my M16 between 9mm and other calibers. I sold the M16 awhile ago and put the 9mm upper on an SBR'ed DDLES lower, which has a magwell which only accepts Colt-style 9mm magazines. Both worked just fine.
That said, I own a bunch of 9mm Glock magazines already (as it sounds like you do), and while Colt-style 9mm AR magazines are pretty inexpensive (~$20), I would probably go with a
QC10 Glock lower if I could do it all over again. You can't get a magwell for a normal lower to work with Glock magazines, the Glock magazines are too wide to fit.

CleverNickname,
Thanks for responding.
I'm still searching for a factory built 9mm rifle.
Of course, as I posted earlier, my dilemma is which is one/two/three are considered the highest quality.
No doubt, the Colt is up there, but I've no information about the Stag's quality, but I do want a designed for 9mm mag well rather than 5.56 mag well that's been shimmed to accept 9mm.
As in 5.56 AR's having a wide variety in quality from what some AR aficionados consider low end AR's such as Bushmaster or DPMS vs. much higher quality AR's like Colt, Noveske, Daniel Defense, I think the same variety in quality probably exists in 9mm carbines.
Often the cost of 5.56 AR's are often quite close to each, give or take two hundred dollars or so, while the quality range can be vast...so I'm inclined to believe that type quality range exists in 9mm carbines.

I've been looking hard at the Thureon Defense SA Basic Carbine in 45ACP using Uzi-Colt SMG magazines. All of the GA models in 9mm uses Glock Magazines. These are no frills straight to business carbines...

Palmetto State Armory has 9mm ARs.
They also have parts kits if you should want to build your own.

Thanks Bitter Clinger & PBratton!
I toyed with the idea of a Keltec Sub 2000 using Glock magazine and I found a new one locally.
They want $699.00 for it before tax.
The folding aspect would've make it a good truck, but I thought they retailed for $400/450, but at $756.68 with tax, I'll pass.
I'm going to look into your suggestions.

A Glock 17 is the best pistol caliber carbine out there IMHO.
No folding necessary

It is not an AR style, but the Cx4 Storm by Beretta is a great carbine. I have one in .40, my brother has one in 9mm and by BIL has one in .45, so I have shot all the flavors. Good accuracy, excellent reliability, easy to break down and clean and can be accessorized to your heart's content. It can share magazines with the 92, 96, or storm series pistols depending on what you own and how you get your carbine configured. I hesitate to say anything is "the best" as we all have different opinions, but in my experience, the Cx4 Storm is really hard to beat in the pistol caliber carbine category.
