Gun Show 30.06 and 30.07 Signs

Did a search of this site for "gun show" and didn't find anything specific to this question.
Since most shows are at government owned venues, is there any indication that shows will stop posting signage to keep out concealed or open carriers? I haven't been to a gun show for about 6 months so I don't know what the various shows are doing.
If they are still posting the signs, I assume that those are illegal, right?

I am betting the Fort Worth Gun Show this coming weekend will be posted with both signs.

Wichita Falls doesn't post them.

The way to fix this is to remove the signs, allow CC/OC, and the first person seen by the LE hired as security who removes their CC or OC firearm from the holster is immediately arrested and removed from the facility. This allows for carry as approved by Texas law and after the first few arrests for UCW/whatever is the correct charge, the problem is gone. CC/OC weapons must remained holstered at all times.

I think you are onto something there. This would work.

I'd be good with this, however, I am pretty sure it is the gun show's insurance that requires everything be unloaded.

Concealed means concealed at the FW gun show...

The FTW show was 30.06 posted Dec 19-20. I took a picture and am going to send the notice of violation to the city and organizers of the show. I will then file the complaint with the AG, just haven't got around to it yet.

Prior to the Dec show I contacted the organizer and she said concealed carry was ok, but it had to be unloaded. Then I got to the show and it was 30.06 posted. After I got home I emailed her back and explained that the sign was illegal and there isn't a provision for unloaded concealed carrying TX statutes. I'm not surprised that I haven't heard back yet. Like several posters have said, concealed is concealed.

Is this a good idea or a crazy idea?
When one of us sees an illegally posted 30.06 sign, he takes a picture and posts it here. As many people as possible from this site report the illegal posting, flooding the state with complaints about each illegally posted sign.
Sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the grease, and if we make enough combined noise, the AG's office might be forced into action.
BTW, I don't see anything in the law that says that you can post an illegal sign since your insurance company required you to do so.

No doubt it would work, but what exactly is the security officer / local LEO charged with?

We've got a way to deal with this now - it's file a complaint. That eventually places civil financial liability on the city, enough so that they'll start monitoring the behavior of their lessees. My guess is that it will take more than one complaint.

Not sure I follow your question. Why are the LEO and/or security being charged with a crime? The discussion was about numbskulls pulling holstered weapons at a gun show. Try to keep up.

Instead, how about we just wait and see how this brand-new-to-everyone system is going to work before we decide it needs to be fixed?

Be careful of the venues. The Saxet show in Robstown at the fairgrounds posts 30.06 however the location is also a 51% location due to the concession vendors license. I've talked to TABC about the area licensed and the license covers the entire grounds. A savvy security guard (off duty LEO) could just skip the 30.06 charge and use the alcohol 51% felony on any CC/OC they come across. The 51% off limits because of vendors holding a license at a property needs to be addressed next session. Especially when alcohol isn't being served at the venue. I suspect other venues could have the same issue.

Hold on a second. Does this even count? The concession vendor's sale of alcohol is at least 51% of his sales or since it encompasses the entire grounds it is 51% of everything sold on the entire grounds? Shouldn't the later have to be true in order for that to be legal? Otherwise, this seems like a really sneaky way of getting the place off limits.
