Howdy folks,

I recently bought a used BMW to replace my current car which I gave to my daughter.

***This is my first BMW and I need a reliable mechanic to help me take care of the car.

The Maintenance and Warranty book in the car reads like stereo setup instructions so I'm having trouble figuring out what the actual schedule for replacements and maintenance should be. Supposedly the car will inform me when some stuff needs to be done (oil, etc.). But what I'd like is to find a reliable mechanic who can help me keep the car running well.

BTW, its a 2012 328i Coupe, 6-cyl, 3.0L. Nice car and I got it at a nice price. Would like to keep it that way.

I'm in the Carrollton/Lewisville/The Colony area. I wouldn't mind driving an hour (maximum) or so for the right mechanic.

Many thanks, in advance, for some assistance.

Bavarian Motor Sports (Haltom City on 377) works on nothing but BMWs and gets great reviews. I know it is a hike from Carrollton, but several buddies swear by them.

Just my .02,

Bubba,

Thanks for the info. I'll have to research this with the shop name.
I can't bring myself to the point of submission to the book of faces - (it just seems creepy and very wrong.)

The name should get me the information I seek.

Thanks again,
