I plan to throw together a quick gun vise using a hand-screw clamp for the stock. I've also seen pictures of DIY gun vises using cams, wood screws, bar clamps and pipe clamps, but decided on the hand-screw clamp style for simplicity and ease of construction.

Do any of you have DIY gun vises that you would like to show off ?

I use an old fashioned wood workers flat vise with very soft wood jaws.
