Please tell me what think about MAGTECH ammo?
Between ratings of 1(being poor)...to 10(10 being Winchester, or other quality factory ammo maker), how would you rate MAGTECH ammo?
AND...Is the Brass also high quality for Reloading, please?

I run a lot of Magtech through my .380
Overall I like it. Out of 1000+ rounds fired I only had one cartridge fail to fire.

Magtech is probably a 6 or 7 on a par with Wolf, S&B etc. OK practice, range, blasting, ammo as far as brass goes, to me in a handgun brass is brass.

I use the Magtech in my P3ATs too and have not had any issues. It always feeds consistently. I just purged a few mags of old carry ammo last week and it all shot fine no failures after being in my sweaty pockets for I don't know how long.

As far as rating MagTec.....a big 10.
I carry 230gr Federal Hydrashoks and 230gr MagTec shoots to the same point of aim.

The 230gr MagTech 45acp is as good or better than Blazer aluminum or blazer brass and I'd say it's better than WWB, especially since the changed to the czech plant and the brass strangely resembles S&B, which I despise.

That's good to know it shoots well at the range. That's the main thing.
But I reload and have been led to believe that some manufactures "skimp" on thickness of the larger cartridges that I shoot (.44 mag., .45, and .40 S&W) shortening the number of multiple reloadability.
Any reloaders out there?

At a 10, I'd put Federal Premium Gold Match and maybe Black Hills. Magtech's okay; I'd put it on par with S&B and Winchester. I went through two cases of Magtech .45 ACP FMJ before I bought my latest stock of S&B. I had one squib out of the two cases of Magtech.

Shot a ton of it in 45 colt. Good reloading brass too.

I have a "few" Kel-Tec pistols, and they LOVE Mag-Tech ammo. I've shot some .45 MagTech in my one Kimber, and some in my older 9mm Star pistols and it's always been very reliable. The power may be "mid-range", but always consistant and dependable. Actually, more dependable than some of the lower end Winchester and Remington ammo I've bought in the last several years. As for the reloading, I have no idea as to the quality of the brass.

I have about 50 Magtech cases I picked up at one range or another and they are pretty much the same as WWB, Rem UMC, S&B, CCI etc.
