Retention holster

Just looking for some suggestions as to a good retention holster - currently I carry a Serpa and I like it but have seen some concerning experiences with it. When I was with Spokane, Milton and Sunnyside PD I always carried an SSIII on a duty belt - I am trying to find a level 2 or 3 retention that won't break the bank and is durable and dependable

I recently received a Safariland Model 7378 and would highly recommend it. It's a level 2 retention holster that comes with both a belt loop and paddle attachment.

Thanks I forgot to mention I am left handed and many of the retention holsters are made right handed only

I feel your pain. Many are not made for the gun I carry. Two strikes against me.

Thanks for the link - Seems I have two strikes agin me - 1. I am left handed - which limits the number of holsters available to me - 2. I carry an uncommon gun (well, at least ones that are not often carried as a EDC). So I guess that leaves getting another firearm or getting a custom holster.

Galco offers no options

Safariland offers one option

and I already have a BlackHawk Serpa for both my M9 and M&P45

Will look at the Uncle Mikes Instructor Belt for a little more stiffness in carry belt :tiphat:

I like the 5.11 thumbdrive holster, it's level 2, seems durable and have options for attachment type.

Drawing from it is natural, as my hand makes contact with the grip the thumb release is properly positioned to be pushed.
