I will be going to a friends this week who has or thinks they do a Luger which was a WW2 bring back, that's all the info I have other than it has a holster with it, I have not seen it, I am not sure if it is a P38 or Luger until I see it, it will be cleaned and for sale, are they any collecters Interested here ? Also German officers sword. The Broomhadle Mauser recently that was sold was mint+++ condition all matching #s. I have not seen the Luger yet. For sure this weekend.

I'd really like to see pics of it when you get your hands on it!
I'm really interested in the markings. It'll just about date of production of it. The Germans during WW2 really marked the bajibbers out of all their guns.
Back when I was collecting guns(late 70's to mid-90')s, I had a dandy German pistol collection. But the Luger is the one gun that escaped my hands possession.

Wow! The Broomhandle complete with stock is a real find. Just to let you know, I'm not a buyer....I'm past that stage, until I win the lottery, lol. Would appreciate seeing them .

Thanks for the info Lena, but not enough to render any kind of opinion. I'd really like to see close up pics of the gun, especially the serial #, the 'proof marks', and the wooden shoulder stock. That would probably give a more accurate description.
When you say 'blue', how deep is the blue? Could it be a re-blue?

They sold the broomhandle with the stock.
They have the luger 6711 DWM1918 on the top not another date in front of the 1918, no reblue for sure, al matching numbers even holster which is bad but readable. 2 magazines. I will get pics today later pm. No rust at all bore bright. 90-93% finish, but those horrible plastic white grips!

Jackson Armory, is THE place to shop for Antiques and high quality collectible firearms. Prices are on the high-side. But, if you are seeking something, you may find it there. He has a lot lugers and those nice looking canon-style (long barrel) lugger P08 with a wood stock. They cost more than I can afford in the 5-figures.

Appreciate the offer, I can't really get anything right now.
But prices have been going up on these and the site posted above is a good reference for a base guide but as said they are high
