The 30.06 signs were conspicuously missing from the Original FW Gun Show this morning. We won that battle but the war continues...

I'm sure they could do as any other group and ask you to leave or conceal, but I'm pretty sure they changed their signage due to the fact that the facility is city owned. I know that besides myself others have written letters to the show producers. The no loaded guns signs are just a way to appease their insurance providers who they blamed for the posting of signs in the past. Openly carrying a loaded gun at a gun show sounds like a bad idea as some may assume you want to sell it. I would carry concealed and not look for accessories for my carry gun.anygunanywhere wrote:No '06 or '07 but a no loaded weapons sign?
That is not a victory. What do you think would have happened if someone exercised their permission to OC at the show?
Right. Just to appease their insurance.Jusme wrote:I'm sure they could do as any other group and ask you to leave or conceal, but I'm pretty sure they changed their signage due to the fact that the facility is city owned. This makes sense to me. If the goal is to let the legal tax base carry on public property, allowing verbal notice would defeat the purpose. I read it the way you do.LucasMcCain wrote:Also remember that a "no loaded guns" sign still applies to long guns, regardless of licensing. Still, you should be able to open carry a handgun with a LTC there. It being on city property, they are not allowed to post, and unless I've misunderstood, that means they can't verbally restrict licensed carry either. Anybody know if I'm wrong about that?
