I have to admit, this is the first time I read about this. Very interesting.
Is this true?
"If you’ve ever seen a post or tree with a purple stripe painted on it but don’t know exactly what it meant, you should keep your distance.
The color means means no trespassing."
“It holds the same weight and the same law violations apply. It’s no trespassing period,” Ashley Pellerin, an agent for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s extension service in Prairie View, Texas, told KETK."

I hope this doesn't encourage threads about non-conforming stripes....

It's more of a lighter shade of purple than a dark purple that is used. I don't know if there is a standard width but it seems like a 10" ring is painted about 4' off the ground.

Measuring the stripes can be about as dangerous as counting the rattles.

Maybe he knows they are not compliant but his insurance requires him to put up purple stripes.
