Want to borrow scope ring lapping kit

Does anyone have a scope ring lapping kit?

I am working on a 308 rifle build and am trying to do things right. I was watching some of Midway USAs videos on YouTube and Larry had a lapping kit with bar and compound. Obviously for a DIYer some of these tools are just a bit of overkill, but was wondering if someone might have this tool that I could borrow.

I am in Austin and have a Redfield Revolution scope that is on a Ruger Hawkeye with stainless 1 inch rings. I would be happy to pay shipping if someone outside the area has one.

uthornsfan,
I've mounted hundreds of scopes over the years and never once did I lab the scope rings.
Buy good bases and rings (Leupold or Redfield) and follow the instructions and you should be fine.
I do use the Brownells scope alignment rods. If they meet properly, you will be good to go.

Chemist, thanks for the info.

The rings are stainless ruger rings, not sure what the quality is on them but i figured if someone had the kit it couldnt hurt to do.
