Would this help at all with the signs?

We all know that very, very few people who do not have an LTC have any idea about the crime stats of LTC holders. We also know that many business owners don't completely understand what the 30.06 and 30.07 signs actually prevent. It's crazy, but I still run into people that think anyone in Texas can OC now, they don't even realize you have to have a license.
I was doodling around on the computer while eating lunch at my desk, and came up with this. Thinking of printing a few out to keep in my truck as a conversation starter when I run into a sign. Do you think it would do any good at all? Go ahead, throw your thoughts, and even the kitchen sink, at my doodling.

The stats come from the DPS reports on their website, and the link below to a US Census site. I did a little bit of math on the stats to make the points.

That is great!
I'm going to print some out and keep in the truck, with your permission of course
Good job!

I like it as well, but maybe you could give a little more info on exactly what each of the signs means there are still people either being told, or just erroneously believing that they must post both signs to be compliant with the new laws. You may also point out that the signs only apply to LTC holders and won't prevent evil doers from entering with a gun illegally.
But It is is a great idea, at least it is a way to inform without being confrontational.

I think this is a great idea. Sorry to nitpick, but when I divide 47,302 by 18,940,321, I get 0.2497%. Otherwise very cool. Thanks for sharing this.

I literally put this together in about 30 minutes just to bounce off the forum members. THANKS for catching the error. Here is a corrected graphic.

Ill agree with explaining what 30.06 and 30.07 mean or how they differentiate, also adding they are not legally mandated.

Add the statistic where CHL holders are less likely than police to commit a crime. Says a lot as well.
Good stuff.

You are both right, and I'll agree with reservations. I've been in on a lot of business meetings (both as presenter and as audience) and I've learned that too much information on one page makes most people not read it. If this were a conversation starter, I would get a chance to explain what the signs mean and what the law says. I'm not sure that putting enough text in a graphic to explain all that would get the message across. But, what do I know?

Good stuff.
That statistic is very hard to come by. I have not found a quotable source for it.

Someone around here has it and will post shortly (I hope).

Well, since the response has been good so far, here is another version with highlighted words on the signs that non-LTC people don't even realize are there.

Charles has it, and he will not release it, for reasons of maintaining good relations between the CHL and LEO communities, and because it is a political hot potato.

And he shouldn't.

That's fine, but I know it's been posted before.
Still good work on the flyers.
