Thats cool, I can guarantee you, if I had done something wrong and all that was coming down on me, I would just go ahead & surrender. I dont know anything about dogs in law enforcement, but I noticed the wide collar's, why don't they use collar's with little spike studs on them. Just wondering

About 10 years ago, we had a guy come train with us (Martial Arts), who was going to be in town for about 6 months. He was down here from Canada and was training the K9 unit (NPD) in our town and one neighboring town. He had what he called a 'Belgian Shepherd', that was his personal dog, a big stout 4 yr. old.

Anyway, he ended up being my training partner for the time he was here. Nice guy. Brought his dog to the Dojo one evening (pre-planned) to demonstrate what the animal could do, but also to show some techniques for 'pinning' the animal to minimize damage done if a large dog were to seize you by the arm.

That dog was pretty impressive and could shake the bejezzus out of you. Amazing how an animal that I outweighed by a hundred pounds could drag me around!

We had some local LE there that night along with selected and trusted senior members of our group. Learned some valuable techniques, but I can tell you for certain, you would NOT want a well trained dog on you!

In addition to law enforcement, the Belgian Malinois is used by the United States Secret Service, the Navy SEALS, the Royal Australian Air Force, the Indian National Security Guard (NSG) commando unit, the Israel Defense Forces and others.

I guess that is what the muzzle is for.

That second dog is 'locked' in the photographer. Hah...!

Those would be hard to carry concealed.

Definitely retention holsters.

I've seen several documentaries about war dogs serving in the Pacific in WW2, in all areas of the sand box, and K-9 officers here in the U.S. I have the deepest respect for them and their partners. Thank you all for having a great partner! May all those dogs go to Heaven.

I bet carrying one of those you wouldn't get mugged too often.

They certainly deserve good retirement benefits.
