Conversion Kit for Glock

Anyone have experience with any of the RONI or other adapter kits that enclose a Glock 17 or 19 making it a short barrel rifle? I like the idea of dealing with a single pistol caliber ammunition that I already reload. What are the NFA hoops to be jumped through? The marketing pictures do a good job of creating a "need" urge. I'm looking at the G2-9
