Positive Experience - Dr's office

With so many medical clinics & hospitals posted, it was very nice to pull up in front of an allergy & asthma clinic in Houston and not see any signs.

When I was asked to take off my shirt for an array of scratch tests on my back, neither the doctor nor the assistant batted an eye about my CC pistol.

Just thought I'd share something positive to offset a little of the angst about 30.07/.06 signs around here lately :tiphat:

(If anyone in Houston is in the market for an allergist, I'd rather PM the info. Don't want to give MDA a target to picket!)

I go to two dentists in Austin. I carry openly. Neither is posted. No issues at either, as far as carrying, and they are good at the other stuff, too. ;-)

That is great to hear!

No problem at my regular Doctor either. No stupid CDC questionnaire or the like.

Any conversation other than Medically related would likely be about the weapon and its features.

He is an ardent 2A supporter, sportsman and shooter.

The CPA we use for our taxes shares a building with a lawyer. I was pleasantly surprised when I went to drop off our tax info that the building wasn't posted.

good to hear.
my yearly visit to the ophthalmologist was welcomed with 06/07 signs on the medical building they are in....wasnt a happy camper.
luckily no other doctor related service i use has any signs at all, my PCP would never post as I know he carries too (luckily his practice owns their building)

My allergist in south Arlington is not posted, thankfully. He is also a great guy. If you need one in the area, PM me for his info.

My urologist in Grapevine is not posted with either sign, and neither is the doctor who is managing my weight loss. Haven't had to visit my internist yet this year, but my wife was there a couple of days ago, and he isn't posted either.

Not only is my doctor not posted but on my last visit he took one of my cards as his wife is interested in getting her license.

Slight thread drift, but I OC'd in my bank today. Quick run to visit my safe deposit box. Nobody batted an eye.

I also lucked out on my kids dentist. Dentist made the normal mistake of calling my elder girl child "Kimberly" she quickly corrected him with "it's Kimber, no lee - just like the gun". Conversation continued and hopefully he will be joining us at next uspsa shoot.
Those are the health care professionals we all wish we had! You lucky dog! :thumbs2:

Btw, is KRBC radio still on the air over there? It used to be 1470 on your am dial. Just wondering, as I spent some time there, many years ago.
