Dignity Memorial - Colonial Funeral Home 30.06, 30.07

Colonial Funeral Home in Universal City posted both 30.06 and 30.07. Since this had been the place we planned to use for our services, I contacted them via e-mail and told them my wife and I find the 30.06 sign offensive. I was contacted by phone from Sunset Funeral Home. We had a nice discussion. The employee claimed to also have an LTC but that this was a Corporate decision. He said he would contact Corporate and get back with me. Well he did. The signs stay...and our family will do business elsewhere!
I pointed out that the Colonial branch was the only one of the local funeral homes listed as posted. He talked like they may all be posted. Any confirmation?
https://www.texas3006.com/ lists 3 funeral homes and two of them are Dignity operated.

A funeral home? Really?!!! Have they had a lot of problems with people coming in to shoot the deceased? I would think they would want as many guns as possible, that way if any gun fights break out it is just more business!!
Oh well, glad you took your upcoming(not too soon I hope) business elsewhere. I try to avoid funeral homes, so I haven't had the opportunity to check my local ones.

I don't have confirmation one way or another, but IMO it really doesn't matter if the rest of the branches are posted. Of course the employee that you talked with has no decision in this matter.
At least he made the effort to contact the corporate office. If it is a corporation mandate, the others will soon follow.
You already made your position clear so you have the next move. I really doubt that they have had other complaints or inquiries so maybe you will cause them to change their [stupid] policy.

I saw this refrigerator magnet once. Had a pot of gold coins on it, a leprechaun was seated next to the pot with his arms crossed and a stern expression. The caption was "If I can't take it WITH me, then I'm NOT going to GO".
(if you think about it, it's kinda like our reaction to a 30.06 posting.......)
Last time I did business with a funeral home was in 2012 and they weren't posted. Have been by the front door of about three others since I started looking for 06/07 signs, no postings there either. Personally, I'm more concerned about the dead voting than I am about them possessing firearms.....
