With summer vacation & travel time upon us, I've been brushing up on other states' handgun laws at
http://www.handgunlaw.com (a very good resource, BTW).
Now that I'm up to speed on the laws in the states I'll be travelling, I was wondering about any prohibitions by businesses and entertainment venues in some of our destination cities. Of course, here in Texas, we are very fortunate to have a
great resource in
http://www.texas3006.com (thanks for that Russell!

).
Does anyone know of a similar resource for other states where we can check to see if specific businesses in those states are posted?

Good question. I'll be traveling to NC and SC later this morning month and if my LTC is here before leaving I plan to carry full time, but not sure how these states post businesses. I fully rely on texas3006.com (and app) to assist here in Texas.

I use CCW app on android phone.Updates regularly and has an associate app, Posted, that is similar to Texas3006.com. Paid a couple of bucks for each about 3 years ago and was well worth it. Just returned from 3 week trip to ID and used it to refresh my short term memory each night I was in a different state.

I'm not aware of any other states that have the equivalent sign fandango. Every state has its own peculiar set of requirements.
California has no sign provisions, you can't carry in a place that has primary purpose of selling alcohol for onsite consumption, or something like that. The rest are courthouses, election sites etc.
Of course, there may have been more paid customers at last night's Padres game than CHL holders in the state. Why make all those bars and skivvie shows print and post signs on the off chance that a unicorn or the Abominable Snowman might show up, almost as rare as a CHL customer.

Look for other states' gun forums. Those are good resources for answers and they may maintain or know of similar resources to texas3006.com.
For example, I frequently visit family in Illinois. Illinois law specifies a type of gun-buster sign as official notice. IllinoisCarry.com maintains a sub-forum of posted establishments, which works similar to texas3006.com.

Thanks for the responses, guys. I'll check those out.
I guess I'm just spoiled to us having a great resource like Texas3006.com.
