I just saw that and am glad you posted it. Ventura is one slimy individual.

Thanks for the update Charles.

Never liked Ventura, and while I appreciate his service, he reaffirmed his douche status with this lawsuit, at the incredibly insensitive time at that.

Who/what elects him and his ilk to public office - not only in Minnesota, but everywhere?

The same folks who elected Al Franken to the Senate. Not the sharpest knives in the drawer.

I read this great news this morning...
But unfortunately they did not end the entire thing (a major portion for sure)
The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals also sent a portion of the case -- Ventura's defamation claim -- back to the district court for a new trial, saying Ventura's attorneys made improper remarks and the trial court "clearly abused its discretion in denying a new trial."

These must be the same folk that Garrison Kiellor spoke about?

In an unrelated follow-up, the memorial statue for Chris Kyle in his hometown of Odessa was unveiled yesterday. The privately-funded project is the granite-and-limestone Chris Kyle Memorial Plaza, and includes the bronze statue and several trees that were moved from George W. Bush's ranch near Crawford.
