There's Your Sign...

Why do the drive thru ATM's have Braille?
Does a blind LTC receive notice via a 30.06 sign?
Why is the TABC alcohol pregnancy warning in the men's room?
Can a deaf person receive oral notice under 30.06? Does "sign" language have to use hands with contrasting colors?
If I have two Taurus model handguns, are they Tauri?
...

I know the answer to the first question. Blind people in Taxis (or as a passenger in any car) can use the ATM.

It's actually simpler than that. Have you ever seen an ATM that did NOT have braile on it? When they build the keypads, they don't know if they will be in a drive thru or in a lobby.

The TBAC sign in the men's restroom should say "consumption of alcohol may contribute to pregnancy".

Because of gender neutrality laws. The person might be a girl wishing she were a guy.

I wondered about braille on the ATM, because even if someone else takes them, the screen readout requires sight to read it and know when to enter pin numbers etc. Unless there is an audio feature I'm not aware of?

There is a headphone jack you can plug into and have the screen output orally read out to you.

Are you saying that a blind person can/did pass the shooting portion of the LTC course?

A friend of mine is "legally" blind. He can see, but his vision meets the requirements of being legally blind
The U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA) defines legal blindness as follows:
Reduced central visual acuity of 20/200 or less in your better eye with use of the best eyeglass lens to correct your eyesight; or...
Limitation of your field of view such that the widest diameter of the visual field in your better eye subtends an angle no greater than 20 degrees.
And yes, he passed the shooting portion of the LTC course and has his license.

I'm probably close to 20/200 uncorrected; I could get a passing score on the LTC without my prescription lenses. Hitting something the size of a manhole cover from less than 50 feet is not hard.
BUT!!!
The OP did not say "Does a
LEGALLY blind LTC receive notice via a 30.06 sign?"
The OP implied (to me) a "dark glasses, white fiberglass cane, forever night, blind LTC holder". To which my answer is, "No, a blind LTC holder will require VERBAL notification, AND I wanna know how they passed the shooting qual to GET an LTC".
(and all you Star Wars geeks just skip the "use the force" retorts. We're not talking light sabers here..)

Actually,, I got one for you, ScottDLS. How does a blind LTC holder know he's in a GFSZA?

You're asking how a blind LTC holder knows he's in a Gun Free School Zone
Act?

A guy came in my store all huffy. He said, "I came here last night and you were closed, but your sign says 'Open 24Hrs.' I said, "that's correct, we are open 24 hrs. Just not in a row."
Before I retired I spent the last 17 years with a major pilot training organization providing training and checking to corporate and regional airline pilots worldwide. Each ground school classroom at all of our facilities had a sign on the door with the classroom number in visible numerals AND braille! Somehow "pilot" and "braille" don't seem to go together.
