M&P 15 Sport II

I picked up a new M&P 15 Sport II last night. Did some shooting today. First 30 round magazine went flawless. I got a phone call and was distracted for 5 minutes. I put the gun down safely and took the call. Loaded the second magazine.... immediate fail to fire. Round loaded fine... but did not fire. Ejected magazine removed the round and inspected everything...did not see anything. Did everything again... same issue. Then I realized what I was doing.... riding the charging handle... I had to laugh at myself, but I wanted to share it... even if you think you are doing it right... you may be treating your brand new gun a bit too soft! Newbie mistake... but I made it. Yes, I realize the FA would have solved the issue - but I wanted to see why it was having an issue in the first place - which it wasn't - it was OE (Operator Error) on my part.
Very happy with this gun out of the box...sights were spot on... I was shooting tight groups at 40 yards handheld. I had to go at that time, but no doubt it will be accurate at longer distances.
