It strikes me how this article listed shooting, after shooting, with details about names, ages, and locations. But never once did the reporter mention the race or ethnicity of any of the victims. If any of those shootings had involved a police officer, the race of the victim would be in the HEADLINE.

Probably because everyone correctly assumes the race of both victim and perpetrator in the weekly Chicagoland shooting gallery.

Mass Shooting Tracker defines a mass shooting as any incident in which four or more people are shot, whether injured or killed.

Most of these incidents involved two or fewer victims, and so none of them qualify as a "mass shooting". Therefore, they are of no interest to the left.

They aren't of any interest anyway, they involve people who bypassed all existing laws to obtain guns, and aren't NRA members.

Just to put this into perspective, here's a link to WHERE shootings have occurred in Chicago since Jan. 1, 2016. I don't know the actual geographic boundaries of Chicago, but it appears that all of the shootings are primarily isolated into certain areas. Maybe a forum member who's familiar with Chicago can clarify:

The map shows a notable blank area on the far south side. Wonder what that is that it's been almost untouched by violence

2,539 victims through August 11th! I have been to Chicago several times on business, and spent a nice weekend there when my son graduated from Navy boot camp. I've been downtown at night, and visited many hotels, restaurants, and bars. I never heard gunfire, and never saw a crime. Of course that was many years ago. What the heck has happened to that city? The map you posted is some kind of scary!

Whats so unbelievable, it happens quite often in Chicago. But they must be throwing bullets because guns are not allowed

Just an update from CBS Chicago.....on Monday there were 9 killed, 13 wounded, including a 10-year old. Tuesday, 3 killed, 15 wounded.
Wednesday 2 dead, 7 wounded. Thursday 2 dead, 12 wounded, including a 6 year old. But, don't say anything.
