Longtooth is having to travel. There will not be any waterparks or tubbing on the 'lupe.
Have been drafted into going on the Caddo Lake Steamboat tour of Caddo Lake out of Uncertain. I dont know the boundries of Caddo Lake State Park. Anyone up North know about carry on the boat. Did not find anything in print on the BOAT web page.
State park page says no firearms allowed but appears to fall under the same not valid status as the ghost busters but I am not willing to be the test case.
KBCraig & Tote 9 especially. Either of you guys know. I am depending on ya friends.

You're in for a treat. Caddo lake is great. MrsFosforos and I took the steamboat tour a few years ago. I can't remember anything posted there, but that was before I even paid attention to such things. But it would surprise me if they had anything mentioning hand guns there.
One of the park rangers actually carried a side arm, that was the only state park I've seen anyone with a gun.
Just keep the Spanish moss out of your barrel.
And make sure you know the way there... I think they named it Uncertain because you get there and ask yourself "Is this it?". The population is about 3, counting 1 dog.

I'd add -- make sure you know
the way OUT of there -- if you get off the main road that runs through there, you won't be "certain" you can get back out!
Talk about straight out of the "boggy creek monster" movie -- it's eerie with all those cypress trees and spanish moss especially after dark! And people who live out there -- just stand there behind the trees... waiting to reach out and get personal. Scarey!
If there isn't a moon, it gets really Creepy and EERIE and SCAREY and DARK!

Here ya go, LT....
This will cover you in the State Park. To the best of my knowledge, this has never been rescinded and is still valid.
Can't offer any advice on the boat, I didn't get to take the tour when we were there a few years ago.
Enjoy your trip, it's a unique and beautiful lake.
Oh, BTW...Keep an eye out for Bigfoot. The locals tell me it's also one of his favorite hangouts!

Sorry I didn't get to answer sooner, LT, but there's not much I could add. I haven't been on the lake; I've only seen what can be seen driving through Oil City.
Does the boat cross into LA? They do have some different rules about notification (any sign will do). On the other hand, you could pack a handheld GPS unit and start open carrying when the boat crosses that imaginary line in the water.

No worry about not getting here sooner my friend. I knew you were working & that I have until Saturday. May have forgot to get that part in the post.
Open carry in LA would be novel but just before crossing back into Texas & covering up, everyone would know & I can see a lot of trespass notification possibly being given. I know someone who can walk on water but I cant. I would be in a heap o trouble.
Thanks ladies & gentlemen. Looks like we are good to go armed.

many of those 'cruises' sell alchohol, but I doubt 51%.. but as pointed out previously ANY alchohol is a banned location in Louisiana..
