What is the purpose of the meeting? The university, students, faculty, administrators, protestors, and maternal parental units strongly suggesting motion, have had almost a full year to explain things. Sounds like they felt the protestors didn't get enough participation, and they want to try to "talk it out" so more people, with their participation trophies can explain the micro aggressions they suffer from, by having to obey the law.

Purpose is probably to gang up and harass the gun store owner Mike, and because they only got to wear their "Protest Toys" one day and want to show them off again.

My take on it is ... The Liberal Professors lost the Temporary Injunction they sought. Demonstration had Liberal Professors (and their students who want extra credit/favoritism/grades) and also city councilmen and some Legislator attend. GunFreeUT is a relatively small group, but gained a lot of people this semester who are new to college and free from parents and wanting to belong to a group, any group, where they can protest something, anything if it gets them accepted ...

there needs to be a big pro-gun presence there and there is no way I can be up there at night these days, which is a shame, females would be good.

Bob Harkins looks to be relatively neutral on the issue based on what I can find on the internet. He is also the person that appears to be in charge of enforcing campus carry at UT.
Michael Cargill is obviously pro-campus carry.
Now lets look at Nicholas Roland and he appears to be pretty pro-campus carry, in fact I suspect he may represent the concealed campus group.
Dr. Bryan Jones is obviously anti-campus carry.
Ana Lopez looks like a pervert and is also very obvious in her opposition to campus carry.

Ok explain to me what a "licensed gun owner" is exactly, doesn't say he has a LTC so what do they mean?

Bob Harkins was just on the news, pretty much pro campus carry
Paraphrased:
"We spoke to and visited campuses in States where they carry, no big deal, our University PD officers have made enough traffic stops on streets in Austin near the University that we've all encountered CHLs, no problems, the angst wore off in other States, we expect they'll get over it here too."

It's at AT&T conference center AT&T Hotel & Conference Center at the University of Texas , I don't know if "local rules" posted it. but I am guessing and wouldn't think it would be posted as it's a hotel and conference center.

Waste of time, money and energy - the law is passed, the university has issued the guidelines per law. Where were these people when the issue was being debated before the legislature?

They were there, several testified, not truthfully, and generally sounded like robots, repeating the exact same words, but had nothing substantive to say. After about the tenth one, I could have given their scripted testimony. One of the MDA members even testified that the criminal records for CHL holders was hidden and anecdotal.

I was wondering the same thing. This only makes sense in Texas if he has a LTC. Is he possibly not a Texas resident?
