It seems that the United States is attempting to have a shooting war with Russia. Or Russia is attempting to have a shooting war with the United States.

Both ideas seem like a very bad thing, especially over a sand hill like Syria.

It's also not a particularly good time right near our election to get in a shooting war with anyone. This is especially true with a less than ideal lame duck President in charge. A President who is disparately looking for some events to show he was a real president to display in his Presidential Library.

Yesterday the President said that global warming was the cause of the civil war in Syria.

Haven't we learned to stay out of civil wars by now?

Russia in so many words has said a nuclear war is in their toolbox using small nukes to see if we cry 'uncle'.

Obama would pass out with Hillary if that happens...and cave.

For those that read alternative news outlets(not always reliable) this is old news. Russia is doing civil defense nuke drills this week also, bunkering 40 million or so they say. Just a matter of time.

Ever read the book "Alas Babylon?" Written in the late 50s early 60s. Scenario is the aftermath of a nuclear war between the US and USSR that was set off by a US airstrike on the port of Latakia, Syria which resulted in the destruction of a Soviet ship carrying nuclear weapons which was then quickly followed by things spiraling out of control. We could be looking at that very same scenario, particularly with the Russians beefing up the Syrian air defense systems.........

The US has abandoned talks with Russia.

And where is that 600 ship Navy that Reagan built to counter Russian misbehavior? Oh yeah, smart people in Washington said times have changed and we don't need that stuff anymore.
The last few years whenever I drive through Bossier City, LA and don't see the B-52's flying it makes me wonder how long it will be before we wish they were still up there every day.
