Trump - Latest Poll

According to the Texas Tribune (and reported on KHOU this morning):
The WFAA/SurveyUSA poll found Donald Trump beating Hillary Clinton 47 percent to 43 percent, with a margin of error of 4 percent. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump leads Democratic rival Hillary Clinton by only 4 percentage points in solidly red Texas, according to a new poll.
They stated on KHOU that this is the first time in a very long time in Texas that a Republican presidential candidate lead by such a small margin.

Polls as well as the media are compromised.
When they say Trump has a small lead, what they really mean is Trump is leading by over 5 points solidly.
When you hear that they are tied then Trump is leading by a small 2-3 point margin.
When they say Hillary is leading by 4-5 points, what they really mean is they are both tied within 1 point.
When they say Hillary is leading over 5 points, what they really mean is that they just made the numbers up by polling their trusted sources.
Every poll/pollster/pundit has by in large been proven wrong this election cycle. But, we shall see pretty soon...

A couple of days ago - post debate, by the way - Rasmussen had Trump up 43% to Clinton's 41%. I don't trust news organization polling. Their methodology is typically flawed, and they are often push-polls. If you want to know who's leading, go look at professional polling companies like Rasmussen. They don't have a political stake in the outcome, and they are professional statisticians, who treat their data professionally. I don't trust media polls, not even conservative media.

At the close of a week that began with him trailing by seven points, Donald Trump still holds a slight lead over Hillary Clinton in today’s White House Watch survey despite a flurry of news reports alleging a history of sexual harassment on his part.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey of Likely U.S. Voters shows Trump with 43% support to Clinton’s 41%. That’s unchanged from yesterday. Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson picks up six percent (6%) of vote, and Green Party nominee Jill Stein has two percent (2%) backing. Four percent (4%) like another candidate, and five percent (5%) are undecided.
Clinton held a seven-point lead on Monday – 45% to 38% - following the airing of an 11-year-old video showing Trump making graphic sexual remarks about women. But as voters began responding to Sunday night’s debate, her lead dropped to five points on Tuesday and four points on Wednesday. Trump edged ahead yesterday.
...................
Eighty-seven percent (87%) of voters now say they’ve made up their minds how they will vote, and among these voters, it’s Trump 48%, Clinton 46%. Among those who say they still could change their minds between now and Election Day, it’s Trump 37%, Clinton 36%, Johnson 17% and Stein 9%.
That's what the professionals are saying.

A sliver of hope.
(Still hard to believe I'm rooting for Trump.... Not under any other circumstances)

Thanks for sharing this, it gives me some hope. I was beginning to get REAL worried about this election, not that I am not but I have hope now.

With Hillary calling Trump supporters a basket of deplorable's, races, etc. people are very loved and to say in person that they are voting for Trump. In a face-to-face interview that KHOU did 80% of people said Hillary because they didn't want to be on camera saying they vote for Trump.
There are a lot of hidden votes out there !!!!!!

I don't trust the pollsters overall, but there may be room for truth for those saying that Hillary is leading. It is totally beyond me how anyone can with a good conscience vote FOR her with her record of misdeeds and lying, but she seems to have a lot of supporters nonetheless. My worry is a case where a clear win of the popular vote ends up as an equally clear win of the other candidate by electoral college votes. That sort of controversy has been used to sow division previously and it'll surely sow division again if it occurs. The stakes in this election are tremendous, and I confess to being quite anxious about the outcome.

I hear what you're saying, however, SurveyUSA isn't a news organization, they just provide services for a lot of news agencies and they are professional statisticians. I am however not particularly fond of their automatic polling methodology. Also, this poll is limited to Texas, and not a national poll such as those you cited. Actual mileage may vary.

Hitlery's support comes from the "Gimme, gimme, gimme" crowd. Unfortunately that crowd is growing all the time, thanks to DNC manipulation.

Not a scientific poll, but you can't discount the fact that Trump fills stadiums with thousands of his supporters, hiltlery can't fill a modest size room with a couple of hundred of hers, there is an enthusiasm for Trump that hitlery could only dream of!

I was truly looking forward to electing Herman Cain or even Ted Cruz. I suppose, once again, I'll hold my nose and vote for the last man standing.

When the economy collapses and there's no more gravy train there will need to be at least 5.56 ways to thin that crowd.

How I see this election. Not pleased with the choices provided, but I have to do it.
