My painless transition to something wonderful

I have gone almost exclusively to OWB carry. And OC as much as a can and feel it's appropriate to. I carry a full size sig P226 in a maverick custom leather holster made by maverick custom leather. I used to think IWB was the only way to go but it's just not as comfortable to me. There are times maybe one or two times a week I have to carry IWB but now about 90% of the time it's OWB. With winter coming it will get even easier but right now shorts and a t shirt work fine. I wear longer tailed t shirts anyhow so it's pretty easy. I am more cautious bending down or leaning over as my holster will come into view when my shirt come up a little but other than that I'm not to worried. I enjoy OWB now. Just figured I'd put a fun thread out there. Who else enjoys this?

I've carried OWB almost exclusively since about 2009.

I find that IWB is more comfortable for me. Probably because I'm more used to it, But when carrying OWB I find that the barrel end tends to stick out and catch on things. IWB keeps everything closer to me.

Let's all pause for a moment and thank our legislators that we were finally given the choice :tiphat:

Can't even imagine carrying my Para IWB, I always carry OWB, thank God and the Texas legislature for Open Carry, much more comfortable to OC, I just wear a Tshirt that is one size larger tucked in so that if need be I untuck and cover!

This weekend is the first time I OC. My wife was a little in shock when she saw me but it was rather comfortable.

I still own a few IWB holsters, but they haven't seen use in many years now. I carry exclusively OWB, whether CC'ing, or OC'ing.

OWB is the most comfortable to me (no surprise)
I still carry IWB about 5% of the time (when I am going places where I am sure there will be a 30.07, or for other reasons I rather IWB

I am very grateful for our State Congress to allow us the ability to OWB (without cover), as prior to passing Open Carry, I could never OWB without wearing way to large clothes, so I always would IWB

As winter is approaching, I will put more cover on, but again, am still grateful to State Congress that if I choose to uncover, I can.

I do think OWB is typically more comfortable, I carry IWB 100% of the time. If I'm not at work I'm typically around children, my kids are very active in sports (non-school related) so it's easier to keep in concealed IWB.
