I enjoyed this movie, but I like movies, especially science fiction, keep that in mind. I also enjoyed the Accountant, Jack Reacher 2 less, this movie is nothing like those two.

Science Fiction dealing with the arrival of aliens ( outer space type) to Earth. Female hero played by Amy Adams, so your wife or girlfriend might put up with it. Jeremy Remmer is a physicist who never touches a gun, he is just a supporting actor, it's Amy's movie. Very little violence or shooting. Very realistically put together except for one liberal dream moment, but only one.

You may find it slow. Think the movie Gravity without all the action. I also liked Gravity and the Martian.

But I was inthralled with the story and the evolving puzzle.

It has a plot twist sort of like the Sixth Sense, sort of. I Can't say much as I don't want to spoil anything.

I agree. Very cerebral movie. It was nice to see the lead female character as a smart lead who mustered the courage to do the job she was asked.

The plot had a very interesting twist at the end, one that would make folks see it a second time once your eyes are opened.

Counterpoint: My wife saw it separately and hated it. She said she almost walked out of it halfway through. (This probably highlights why we're getting a divorce )

Enjoyed the movie very much. Wife did too.
