Saw it live this morning. He had one faux pas, however. At one point, he said, "In our last legislative session in Texas we passed something called 'Open Carry on Campuses'...."
Just an extemporaneous mistake. From his expression and a tiny pause, I believe he knew it as soon as he said it, but decided not to backtrack and correct the statement.
Listening to Governor Abbott talk about Texas and the Second Amendment just cements that you can't pry me out of this state with a giant crowbar.

HE REPRESENTED!!! Great job Gov Abbott. Thank you for that! The little mistake about OC on campus might get enough attention to pass it???

He mis-stated about open carry on campus. I wish he haven't done that.
