Okay, this was a great day!! ....................... Why, you ask?

Because I finally made a decision!! After a couple of months of wishy washy thinking and changing my mind numerous times, going back and forth about do I want another double stack or do I want my first single stack .................................... I ordered a Shield 9mm with the Crimson Trace Green Laser already on it!! I am pumped. I ordered it from Grab A Gun for $485. When checking local gun shops, I found prices for the Shield 9 anywhere from $399 to $449, so I thought why not just get the one with the laser already for only an extra $85. Checking the Crimson Trace website, this laser goes for $279.

I am pumped! I should get an email in a couple of days to come to the Coppell, TX store to pick it up. I only live about 30 miles from it. I also ordered two 8 round extended mags. They were $16.99 each. I saw them in the local Academy Sports store for $35 each. All of this together makes me feel even more excited about this purchase, it is a great deal!

You'll like this pistol. I have one and carry it every day, it's a good EDC. The extended 8rd mag is a must, I think the 7rd is too short. And $17 is a great price for these mags, I think I grabbed one at $25 and I thought that was good about a year ago.

I absolutely love my M&P Shield. It's a great shooting gun. Smooth and the recoil is minimal. I've even thought about buying a second one to leave in my truck.

My friend got the Ported Shield and I I shot at the indoor range. It is sweet little gun. I got a Beretta nano and it did not had the fiber optic front sight and the trigger was like 10lbs. The trigger pull is like pulling a truck for a mile. Unsatisfied, I ordered a fiber front sight and new trigger springs kit and voila a better nano. A freebie comes with the spring kit, become a trigger master gunsmith in 2hrs.

You've made a great choice for an EDC.

Well I got a Shield also a 45 acp, nice small pistol, 4.2 lb trigger out of the box, no malfunctions at all feeds anything I have shot flawless, shoots to point of aim at 10-15 yds, very hard to load. It's a toss up to carry my old G32 or the Shield, my worn Minute Man Glock holster fits the shield perfect. About 200 rounds so far all good .

Congrats, that's one of the new EDCs I am considering. I am kind of torn between the M&P compact or the shield. Also considering the FNS 9 compact since I currently carry the full size

Bummer! Grab a Gun emailed late in the day that I could come pick up my gun. Unfortunately, I could not get there today. So, it looks like it will be Monday before I get to handle my new Shield. I'm probably going to take it shooting the same day!!

Picked up the new gun today. Here it is!! Now to clean and lube it, find a new holster for it, and then take it shooting.

I bought a performance center 9mm shield about 3 months ago. Shoots great and carrys better.

DFW holsters has a nice mag holster for about 15$ on Amazon
