CHL address change got screwed up -- now what?

So we moved to a new house last month. I went online a requested an address change on my DL and paid the fee ($10) and then did the same for my CHL, which was $25.

My DL arrived in a few days. My CHL took a few weeks and just arrived, but the address is wrong! The last digit is a 7 instead of a 4. Now what do I do? Do I have to pay the $25 again to get it right?

I'd just send an email to the CHL Unit at DPS Austin. My guess is that they will tell you to send a letter about the mistake and they'll reissue your CHL without a fee.

Chas.

Yep! Or just telephone first. They had my age printed incorrectly, and while I explained I really didn't mind being a few years younger, they promptly sent me new plastic at no additional charge and told me to destroy the old one.

Just to update:

I sent an email to the CHL folks explaining the address problem and received this reply:

"A new license will be sent to you with the corrected address."
