Are they (legitimately) posted 51℅?
I'll never forget (or forgive) listening to Michael Berry running his mouth about how he was going to post 30.06 and anybody who has a problem w that will be ignored.
His business, his rules; but IMO completely contradictory to the way he presents himself politically. NIMBY goober. And I otherwise enjoy his show.

It is posted 51% per the TABC as of when I looked yesterday.
I don't think it was in the beginning. My waback machine says the initial liquor license was a blue sign.
I too decided I wanted nothing to do with the RCC when I heard his blabbering about posting 30.06 and that I should get over it.
I also find it to be the height of hypocrisy that he hosts CCW legal defense seminars at that location...especially given his stated intent to post 30.06. Typical former politician who seems to believe he should be in control of any firearm in the room. Guns for me, not for thee.
Since it's a 51% location, he has no choice, so it wouldn't bother me...except he told us his preference, so I'll respect that. I see all my concerts at Main Street Crossing...often the night before or the night after those same acts show up at the RCC.
I do still enjoy his show, but I have no more actual respect for him than I do Tom Leykis or Howard Stern...

Reassuring I'm not the only grumpy old man. I'd characterize the 51% as giving him a way to weasel away from having to post 30.06 and take the flack for it - rather than 'he has no choice'.
As far as not having 51% in the beginning, I believe that TABC has to let a month or three's worth of business receipts accumulate before they have the data to assess revenue % from alcohol sales, and therefore rule on the 51% status.
