Seeking input: Gun Rights In Texas Podcast

I am getting ready to resume hosting my own podcast called Gun Rights In Texas. I have been on hiatus due to real life becoming busy. During the last legislative session I covered the legislative efforts much more closely than I will this session simply because I feel Charles Cotton will do a much better job with his own TFC Podcast. However with the new focus being education for gun owners and the general public I need the help of members from the greatest firearms forum I know of. So I am asking you to reply with your suggestions. I would also ask that if you have a blog, Podcast, website, or are a firearms instructor that you contact me via PM so that I may help spread awareness about your efforts. Note that I might simply do a short Public Service Announcement (PSA) for your effort, an interview, or both. If you have a business that offers a unique firearms product or Service I might also be interested in discussing your business, product, or service on the Podcast. I must warn you that I am limiting my efforts in that area to those who provide unique products and/or services. I would like to thank you for reading this and for your consideration.

I blog about a lot of things, including on gun issues once in a while at
http://www.annoyedman.com. It's still a work in process, and hasn't been up long enough to have a big repository of posts, but it will get there some day.

I have two suggestions. First, don't mention that "real life got busy" unless you have a fun story to go with it. Everyone likes a fun story. Doesn't even have to be completely true. If you don't have one, everyone understands that real life happens and they don't need the excuse. It's sort of a tonal thing.
Second, how about a 1-2 minute segment of "Cheap Shots" where you name a gun range, location, and the special deal they have for shooting. Examples:
- This range does "Lady's Day" on Thursday. Ladies who buy a box of ammo, shoot for free.
- This range does half price Wednesdays.
- This range does "Lady's Day" on Thursday. Ladies rent guns for free.
Idunno. Those were the three deals that popped into my head. Research would be 5 minutes with Google and a telephone call to the range.

To expand on Esquires's suggestion, ( I like the title "Cheap Shots" by the way) you could also include weekly sales specials at gun stores in the area.
The education portion could include, discussions on current gun related bills in the Texas Legislature, maybe a segment dedicated to the false narratives gun control liberals keep spreading, and a segment highlighting the basic terms and nomenclature for various guns. Tips for first time gun buyers, regarding gun store etiquette, questions to ask, carry options, the LTC process, what the LTC will and will not allow carriers to do. The list is endless, and I'm sure that( at least for me and my propensity to drone on and one about a subject) it could become tedious, and cause folks to zone out.
If you have the time, maybe you could record interviews with different people, guns store owners, LEO, gun range operators, etc.
Anyway just a few thoughts that were bouncing around inside my otherwise unencumbered brain.

I had actually planned on a segment that would have been titled cheap shots, but thanks to Esquire's idea it is now getting a new name. While I don't want to include time limited offers as part of the regular podcast because people will download an episode years after it is published I think a cheap shots short released along side the regular episode would be a better solution.
Another feature I plan to have is a video extra for each episode. The video will cover things from different methods for trimming brass (Reloading) to magazine disassembly to anything else I can do a short video on. For safety and liability reasons I will not do videos that cover actually reloading spent brass. But many steps involved in preparation should be ok.
