How many rounds do you suppose you have to fire before the plastic catches fire?

I don't get it. I've got a Russian Mosin (Tula) and a couple of Finn Mosins (Sako and VKT) but they are really items that I've collected for historical purposes. I have shot the Russian... but I can't claim it to be a regular thing. Did you see the "black rifle" version further down in that link?
By the same token, I don't get the accessorizing and tricking out of the Ruger 10/22. Fine little rifle. 25 round mag is a great addition. Why all the other stuff?

Many things are best left as designed.
