Hello Forum.
I'm looking at this AR: Windham Weaponry R16M4FTTCF1 M4 ORC AR-15 SA 223/5.56 16" 30+1 6 Pos Stk Blk. It's a entry level AR...likely to be used for occasional plinking at the range. Any Forum members have experience/knowledge relative to this AR? Comments and/or criticisms welcome.

The CF in the model number indicates it's a carbon fiber design. I have fired the all metal version and liked it. The all metal version was very close to mil spec with twist rate the notable exception. Solid AR in my opinion.

I have two Windham ORC carbines - the metal lower receiver and a CF model. Both have been perfectly satisfactory :thumbs2:

Thanks for your replies, Acro and RH. Still uncertain about the CF. Various U Tube vids as well as other online sources offer positive reviews.

I could be wrong about this, but I think Windham Weaponry was founded by the former Bushmaster owner who left when Remington bought Bushmaster.

I would expect quality and workmanship to be comparable.

Well, I placed an order for that Windham AR15. Should ship around the middle of next week. $423 + 29.99 shipping. No tax and $10 transfer.

Yeah. Web surfing is sometimes worthwhile. Just an update...should arrive via UPS at my FFL by end of day 03.13.17. Recommendations on .223 ammo?
