I am looking to put a good light on my AR-9 and I'm just not sure where to start. I don't want to spend Surefire kind of money.

I've had my eye on an Olight for a while but never pulled the trigger on one. Since then they have changed designs and now I can't decide which one to go with. Most of their lights use a 18650 battery but you will be on your own for a mount.

I need a couple to go on a shotgun and an AR so I'm interested in what else the forum members have to say.

Recently I purchased a Solarforce LM2 flashlight body [less than $20].
I bought a T6 1000 Lumen drop-in LED module [about $7].
I run It on two rechargeable Olight 650mAh 16340 RCR123A batteries [two for $15}.
The runtime is over two hours and the case flashlight does not get hot.
I don't know about the longevity of the flashlight body, but it seems to be constructed well.

BTW, I use the same drop-in module and batteries in my Surefire and they work great.
