What should I do?

I have been in search for the last two months for a retention holster for my 45 shield and nobody makes one.... I like safariland and use the 7TS ALS holster for my Glock 19 and absolutely love it. I don't like to open carry unless I have a retention holster so my poor shield never gets fresh air and has to daily stay concealed. Does anybody know anyone who makes one? I guess I could use one of the leather pancake holsters with the thumb snap. There are companies who make those for my gun but I don't particularly like those

I don't own a shield, but maybe you can find a holster that's made for a gun close in size?

My holster for FiveSeven fits my Sig p220r, and it also fits HK 45 compact as well as Glock 21.

Have you looked at the Safariland Pro-Fit holsters? I've not used one but looked at them when I was looking for an OWB holster for my Shield 40. It adjusts to fit your gun and due to the wide range it fits I would think the Shield 45 would also fit, but I can't confirm it.

I guess it depends on how much retention you're looking for. DeSantis offers several holsters for the .45 Shield. Personally, I like the Mini Scabbard belt holster. Amount of retention is adjustable by a tension screw.

I prefer a thumb button or some kind of level 2 for open carry. Never used a thumb break. I'll check out RD

Randy makes awesome holsters, but he does not make them for the Shield.
