Can you carry a photo of your CHL in your phone?
While on the subject can you carry a photo of TX driver license in phone?
Thinking lots of time running to store, etc would have phone and not wallet.

Yes, I'm sure you can carry a photo of both. In your phone, your iPad, or even in your hand (printed photo). All would be legal.

To the question you did not ask. No, I don't think that having a photo meets the requirement of carrying your license with you.

Sure, but it legally does not replace the actual plastic document. Technically, you are in violation of PC 46.02 Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon if you don't have "a license" on your person.

(b) Section 46.02 does not apply to a person who:
...
(6) is carrying:
(A) a license issued under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code, to carry a handgun; and
(B) a handgun

I just don't understand this younger generation. I go lots of places without my phone but I would NEVER leave home without my wallet!

I believe the answer to both questions is no. A photo can be altered and be very hard to determine it's not on a phone sized photo.
Is a picture of your license carrying your license?

On a side note, going to some stores might require your license and a couple of handguns, if you shop at WalMart.

I think you are answering a different question than the one asked in the OP.

I definitely CAN take a picture of my LTC and DL, and anything else, and can keep these pictures in my phone.

If we change the question to "does a picture in my phone take the place of carrying a physical LTC and DL?", then I agree with you that the answer to that question is "no".
