Long distance range in DFW

My son is looking for a long distance range up in the DFW area. I found a thread or two that discusses a couple but it appears they have been closed. Are there any open that you can recommend?

It is interesting to be a member there....45 mins form home (as far as Top gun was).

ETTS in Waxahatchie has a 1200 yard range.
