This story reminds me of a recent video I had to watch on workplace violence. The advice in the video was run, hide, fight. This type of incident is a prime reason employers should not keep us from being armed in self defense at work.

I think the proper response should be to ban guns at the business and put up cameras.

Monday morning, he pointed his gun at a new, temporary employee and told her to leave, Demings said.
Demings said it did not appear Neumann had a concealed weapons permit for the semi-automatic pistol he used.

Run, Hide, Fight?
I'd rather ...
Fight, Call Police, Clean up, go back to work.

Yeah, here is the video we had to watch.

This has been posted here before, but this incident in Florida reminded me of it.

I had to watch this same video last year. Seems the real problem was the door that the shooter entered was posted 30.06. Clearly they should not have had the building posted.

That's a great video - clearly shows that would be criminals with guns ignore signs.

They had us watch a similar video at my work. I went so far as to ask them once what we should fight back with if it came to that. The answers were, of course, absurd. It's even my company's policy that we can't have pocket knives of any length at work. It hasn't always been like this in my industry. This is a fairly recent thing. It wasn't like this 10-15 years ago.

It's good he didn't use a motor vehicle like the London loonies or there could be 40 dead instead of 4.

Your comparison does not make sense . He targeted specific past co-worker, he specifically let some go, and there wasn't 40 employees in the whole company.....this was an act of revenge not terrorism.

Ivey stressed that attackers rely on people running, hiding, and waiting for help, rather than fighting back.
“What they don’t count on is being attacked themselves, having to become defensive to save their own lives,” Ivey argued.
The sheriff said that calling 911 means officers are on their way, but said, “Until they arrive, it’s up to you and those with you to neutralize or eliminate the threat.”
