Has the NYT been following the UK news lately? The terrorists have apparently realized they can kill a lot more people with motor vehicles than firearms. The terrorists are fanatics but that doesn't mean they're stupid.

It's good to know that there is no federal jurisdiction at gun shows. So if I buy a full auto Thompson at a gun show, I will not have violated any federal laws?

Wow! gun deaths are higher in the US than countries that outlaw gun ownership! Outstanding reportage like that made me stop reading! I believe they must have special courses in journalism called " dishonest reporting" or "how to work for the mainstream media" and it's mandatory curriculum. Like when gun deaths are reported they always include suicides and that firearm availability leads to suicides. They always forget to point out that countries like Japan 18/100,000(and many others) with no guns have a higher suicide rate than the US 12/100,000. How about North Korea 38/100,000 second only to Guyana 43-100,000. I should point out that some of N. Korea's suicides may be assisted.

The nonsense that the anti's come up with would be funny if the potential impact of their kids were not so serious. You would think even those jokers would appreciate something that would potentially negatively impact terrorists or even run of the mill criminals.
