However, EU courts rule baby must die.
Welcome to gun free England and socialized medicine.

Despite their wild eyed assertions "its for the children!" when an issue is in alignment of their agenda, the left cares not for the lives of anyone, including children.

I'm trying to figure out how the courts became involved in the issue, I'm thinking you raise the money, you get on an airplane and fly to the U.S. problem solved.
If it was my child i'd sell everything i owned and go to another country, catch a flight out of there and get my child the treatment they needed!

The socialized hospital would not let you take your child. If you tried they would prevent you by force, so that they can kill the baby in the way that they see fit. The baby's life has no value to their system and the parents' 1.4 million pounds should be confiscated to provide care for the more deserving. Don't worry, we're going there too. Just a little pause until the left can bring down Trump.

The government employee doctors know better than the parents so they get to decide - the parents have no say.
Great reminder of what idiots here in the US will bring with Single Payer and government run healthcare. But look at our VA hospitals and we can already see how well the government runs healthcare.

The European bureaucracy wants to ensure that everyone under their control knows that it is they, the bureaucrats, who control everything, including who lives and who dies. They could not allow that baby to come to the USA to get treatment and risk losing even the tiniest bit of control over the peasantry. Besides that, they say their socialized medicine (single-payer) system is so wonderful, and also could not risk it being one-upped by the "broken" American healthcare "system", now could they? Our Founding Fathers, personal flaws aside, were wise men who gave us a gift, freedom, that we must guard with the utmost passion.

In England as in most of the EU, the gov't owns you, so the gov't gets to decide what to do with you. End of story. This is the end product of socialism.

Subjects/serfs, not citizens.

My wife's cousin is a subject in the UK, every six months he takes a "Vacation" to India to see his doctor and get his RX, he has told my wife that he couldn't get treatment at home and just goes out of the country!

Imagine what would happen if U. S. Doctors were able to cure the baby.
Couldn't have that.
So which UK health care story is worse?
This one or one of these?
Head of nurosurgery at Londons largest hospital was accused of taking a second dessert at the hospital cafeteria ( he said he forgot to get it the first trip through). The hospital administrators suspended him for a week. It was estimated that three patients would die from his missing surgery that week.
Or
A patient called 911 from his cell phone while he was in the hospital in England. He said he was dieing from lack of water. The police went to the hospital to check on him. The hospital staff stopped them from actually seeing him, but assured them he was getting the best care and they would make doubly sure he had lots of water. They may have suggested that his illness was causing hallucinations.
So the police left. The patient died two days later, the autopsy showed he died of dehydration. The resulting publicity negatively affected the hospital staff and so the staff was given therapy to help them deal with his death.

Yet the British like their socialized medicine. This is a very difficult case. If this were my child and I realistically knew that there was no hope I would want to end the situation. We torture the child who is probably on a respirator and has brain damage. We can't change what God has given us. On the other hand if I thought that there was a way to cure my child I would want to do everything possible to do it. The evil here is that the government is making the decision. As long as the parents are willing to pay for care and not pass a hopeless situation onto society than they should have that right. This is what Republicans call a death panel and can affect all of us. Especially on government paid for care. Last week I made a decision to put one of my dogs down. That does not equate to a human but the pain is the same.

My first wife, now deceased, was in London and fell and severely injured her knee. She went to an ER in London and was given ace bandages and a set of crutches. No more was done. She called me, said "now I know why you hate the idea of socialized medicine and make an appointment with an orthopedic specialist as soon as I get off the plane". I did so and the orthopod that saw her said it was one of the worst knee problems he had seen and referred her to a super specialist for surgery. She had surgery but always needed to walk with a cane after that. Socialized medicine.
