I do not know how many times he was shot, but it is amazing to see him get up and walk off.

... and it's been determined he acted in self-defense.
Clearly.

I counted 16 rounds fired. According to the article Weigle (the guy on the mower) was shot four times in the chest. The article says Weigle also fired his gun (but doesn't say how many times - I think just once). Weigle gets up and walks off. Interesting.

Who's land was the man on when he pulled his weapon out. I didn't see him point the weapon at anyone. Can't I pull my pistol out on my own propert? Additionally, there were enough shots and time between shots, why was he able to walk?

You don't have to wait until the muzzle is pointed at you to act in self defense.
Goes to show again that no pistol round is an atomic weapon...unless it's a magnum cartridge, that's a show stopper almost guaranteed, almost.

Pure adrenaline.

More likely a poor shot using a 9mm.

Watch the shrubbery to the left of the gate. I think several rounds come through the fence at an upward trajectory and you can see them move the greenery as they whizz by. I think that is known in the trade as 'spray and pray'.

Shot 4 times in the chest and the old man gets up and walks into the house. Wow. I'll have to show this to my dad who carries a 5 shot revolver.

But we have no idea if he was using hollow points or FMJ. Probably a .380 with round nose. Not a lot of kinetic energy transfer to shock the body.

The reporter describes the person on the ground as firing several more shots from the ground before he gets back up and walks into his house. When they zoomed in on the video, you can sort of see him doing it. The other person, who was not hurt, fired 10 shots according to the reporter. The gun in the instigator's hand looked like a revolver to me, and that would account for the other 6 rounds fired.

Wow! What an idiot on the lawn mower. I try to stay carrying no matter what I am doing, but why would you pull out your gun and wave it at a neighbor. He was asking to get shot.

It is all over a silly piece of fence. The old man get something loose in his skull.
Sad escalation for something this trivial.

If the old dude recovers, he should be charged. On the other hand, who has a game cam looking at a gate in ones fence? Lucky the video was available.
