IWB revolver carry

Lately I have been throwing around the idea of carrying a S&W 686 + (7 shot) chambered in .357 Magnum IWB. My first concern is of course the width of the cylinder. If anyone has one I'd really appreciate it if you would measure the cylinder and let me know how thick it is. My only real concern is whether or not this would be comfortable at all. While I don't mind spending the money on the pistol because I have wanted for so long, I would hate to spend money on the holster and then never use it. I would be using a Tucker TX Heritage, which I have 5 of and use with great success. So has anyone ever tried this set-up or else one very close? By the way I'm looking at using a 2" barrel.

The cylinder is an 1 1/2. I do not carry mine IWB, but rather OWB. Highvelocity pointed me towards a "Street Combat" Holster from El Paso Saddlery Co. I have bought two of them. One for the 686+ and one for the 8 round 327. Both are very comfortable. I did talk Matt Delfatti (whose holster I love) to make me one rather quick for my Model 66 that is on the way back from Gemini Customs.
The 686+ is on the bottom.

I have been wearing, around the house, a taurus model 66 4inch .357 7 round revolver iwb and haven't had any comfort issues, and my holster is a cheap leather bianchi with a single clip... for what it's worth
