For anyone who doesn't recognize it (I didn't and I consider myself to be a big Eagles Fan), it is "King of Hollywood" from their 1979 Album The Long Run

Egads. I am old enough that I bought that album new, and I do remember this song. Didn't know it was Harvey Weinstein they were singing about, but figured there was someone like him in LA.

I didn't think H. W. was that old.

The Eagles were well along their downward trajectory by '79, headed to a break up in '80.

Okay, that puts him in his late 20's in 1979.

I really don't think his behavior is all that unique in the movie/TV industry. I figure there is worse behavior that happens.

At the NYU Songwriter's Hall of Fame Masters Series, Glenn Frey said that King of Hollywood was about a TV/Movie producer named Robert Evans.
