Gravity Knife

The knife laws in Texas were updated as of September of 2017
Does anyone know if gravity knives are still illegal???

They are legal! Lucky you if you've got an old WWII one!

There are no more "illegal knives."
There is a "location restricted knife" (LRK), which is a knife with a blade that is over 5.5" long.
You cannot legally carry a LRK in certain locations, and the list of locations is nearly identical to the list of locations where you cannot legally carry under a LTC.

The actual online statute affected, PC Chapter 46, has not been updated yet so you have to reference the bill text.

It would be if it were not clearly defined in PC 46.01:
"Location-restricted knife" means a knife with a blade over five and one-half inches
