I’m sure the poor misunderstood criminal’s family is unhappy but the good outcome for the law abiding citizen and his family is just.

If the article is accurate, the LTC held his cool pretty well. He didn't draw at first, just refused to give the BG any money. He only drew when the BG pointed a gun at his children as they were hurrying out the door. Kudo's to this man for protecting his family.

I am not sure I would have waited that long to draw. I may not have fired on the guy, but I might have had it out and ready to go.

The criminal had not pulled out a weapon apparently, but I don't know what was said. Considering all the employees ran out the back after he turned toward them, I am assuming there was a credible threat.

I am thinking of this scenario with an incomplete picture of events. Glad it worked out and the good guys are okay.

What we have here is the ever popular "error in the victim selection process."

These robbers, even though they probably grew up in Texas, never seem to realize
