Hard lessons learned

Was putting an A2 flash hider on a barrel just now and either my barrel (ballistic advantage so I don’t think so) or the A2 was out of spec and when at the proper torque was upside down. I have a tendency to strong arm things to make them work and that was a bad decision. I now have a busted ballistic advantage barrel and aero upper receiver.

I have yet to find one that was indexed correctly at the recommended torque. I have always had to use shims. Most of the ones I have used are Claymores from Troy...indexing is just cosmetic with those...lol

A muzzle device that requires timing needs a crush washer or shims. Everything might line up without them, but it's extremely probable that they won't. If they don't, then it doesn't mean that something's out of spec.

Wait, both barrel and upper receiver are toast? I'm impressed. Pictures?
Bending the upper out of whack I can see. Did you shear off the extension pin?
