How much of an idiot do you have to be to open fire on a LEO and think you will prevail?
Fortunately the woman's round(s) were stopped by the LEO's bullet-resistant vest.

From the damage to the car shown in the news video, it appears she was sitting in the front passenger seat and fired at the officer through the rear driver-side window as he approached to speak to the driver? If that's the case, it was an ambush, plain and simple. I wonder how many open warrants she had and/or how much contraband she had on her (besides the pistol)?

In the great racial classification scheme of the feds, which I suspect most police departments follow, “Hispanic” is an ethnicity, not a race. Most Hispanic people are classified as white or Caucasian for race.
But as to sex and I color, I think those are straight up goofs I suspect someone was doing a lot of bookings on the computer, and forgot to change a couple fields
