How do you carry extra ammo?

There's been quite a bit of posting about carrying more rounds/magazines than what your favorite concealed carry piece can hold on it's own.
So, how do you carry the extra ammo?
While this is primarily geared for Semi's, I have added a speed loader option for revolvers and an option for no extra ammo but an option for carying a B.U.G. And finally, I have an option for carrying no extra ammo or a B.U.G.
Personally, I'm using an IWB holster that has a place for an extra magazine.

I always carry a spare mag regardless of the gun I am carrying on any particular day.
I carry in a concealed mag holder on my belt when I carry one of my XD's. When deep concealment is required, I carry a spare mag for my Kel-Tec P3AT in a leather pouch in my pocket.

I don't carry extra ammo, mags or gun. Single gun in a single holster.
It is decision based on a risk assessment and trade off of likely need vs convenience. To my thinking, the odds are against ever needing a concealed weapon. However they are high enough I usually carry.
I choose to not carry on some occasions as the risk is such that the inconvenience of carrying is not worth it to me (Six Flags, Sea World, and the like come to mind) or if I am going to dinner and know I want a beer. OK, that brings up the 'what constitutes intoxicated' debate. I choose to not carry at all if I want a drink, even one, but that's my risk tolerance and I don't hold you to it.
Likewise, for me, even if I am in the extremely unlikely scenario of needing my weapon, the odds of needing a BUG or extra magazine are astronomically small. The inconvenience isn't worth it to me. That is a choice I have already made.
I will make this clear though: My choice as to when I carry or not, my choice to never carry extra ammo, my choice to never carry when I know I might have a even a single beer or cocktail, in no way reflects my opinion of what is right for you.
If you want to carry extra ammo or guns or to have a drink or two while you carry, if you know you will be substantially in control of your mental faculties, then that is your 2nd amendment right. I CHOOSE otherwise based on my threshold of Risk vs Convenience. Your threshold may vary.

I carry spare magazine(s) for both my primary and my secondary (BUG) guns this is more for administrative reloads rather than to sustain a firefight.

It depends.
Most of the time so far, an extra magazine (or two, depending on the gun) in the pocket is my solution. This is mostly because I haven't really found a mag carrier that I like locally, and haven't gotten around to ordering one online.
I also have an extra mag for my Hi-Power in the car as well.
If I'm carrying my PA-63 in a shoulder rig, one of the mags goes in the off-side mag carrier. The other stays in my pocket. Carried IWB, both mags are in the pocket.
I also sometimes carry a BUG, but have extra mags for it as well. Carry depends on configuration (as described above).

I use a mag carrier on my weakhand side. Normally it's OWB (like my pistol), but when I'm going somewhere that needs better concealment both my pistol and mag carrier go IWB.
Russ:
Do you find that carrying the spare mag on your strong side slows down relaods, or do you carry cross-draw???
Just curious...I've never tried stong side carry for the mags.

Usually I don't carry an extra mag, my primary weapon carries 17+1.
If I feel I need something else, I'll carry a BUG instead.

1. Left front pocket in Desantis magpacker
OR
2. Single Comp-tac mag holder on left side.
One in the gun and always an extra. I just can't imagine the feeling of going to slide lock and realizing that you don't have anything else to feed the blaster!
