Seeking recommendations for auto mechanics in the Houston area. I-10 corridor between downtown to Katy preferred, but willing to drive for a competent, honest, and reasonably priced shop.

F2 Motorwerks always does a great job for me. Small shop, the owner used to work for Momentum BMW before he went out on his own.

Mark at Westhimer Auto. You will have to go a little south but its not bad. Mark is the best there is. Works on everything from my vw bug and porsche 911 to Honda Accord. Will never sell you anything you dont need. In fact in more than one occasion he has shown me how to fix something myself for free. Never charges to pull a code or look at problems. The only problem is Mark is ALWAYS busy. Always! But worth the wait. They open at 6:30 am. I have been using him for 23 years. As a plus he is an avid hunter and gun guy.

I live out in west Houston, but I make the drive to Salinas Garage. I have not yet found a mechanic as reasonable and honest as that are.

Mustang Automotive in Friendswood, not for the OP necessarily due to distance but for anyone remotely near Friendswood. Extremely capable, honest as the day is long to borrow a phrase, and reasonably priced. And they are strong 2A supporters.

Copperfield Automotive in the...Copperfield area. Good folks. And there are NRA magazines in the waiting area.

Cinco Car Care at 22030 Highland Knolls Dr, Katy, TX 77450 is fantastic. Recommended to us a few years ago by a friend that has been using them for about 20 years. They have always been honest, reliable and reasonably priced.
