I just got it in yesterday. Will try to get nice pic up some time soon. But what things do I need to know about this rifle, like parts to keep an eye on? Where can I get a scope mount and what type of scope should I pop on it if I feel like it? How hard is it to fit the hk91/g3 mp5 style collapsible stock? (found an after market one copy for 175) Also anyone put a recoil buffer in their's?

I went for the traditional wood stock.
Wear a leather glove on yor left hand. Every once and awhile a piece of brass hits the ejection port and flies strait forward. The case mouth will make a painful cut on any fingers in the way of its flight path. I learned this first hand.

I used to have one but it didn't shoot well at all so I sold it. It was a Century Arms basket case. The Cetme is a very fine rifle when you can get one that is in tip-top functioning shape. Super reliable and pleasingly accurate for a semi-auto.

Anyway, most 308 semi-auto battlerifles are inherently not match rifles, so I don't scope them myself. If your eyesight is poor, then you will find scoping the rifle to be beneficial. Other than poor eyesight, I can't see why you would want to scope this rifle as its inherent accuracy (about 4 MOA, give or take) will not let you get better groups with a scope than you would with open sights.

If you got a good one, then it's an excellent rifle to have. Buy some cheap mags, stock up on ammo if you can find it (it's rare as hell these days with the middle east wars on), and enjoy it. Get a canvas surplus sling, a vest rig that will hold the G3/Cetme mags. Have fun!

Did you shoot it and does it cycle through several hundred rounds without fail? Just asking because it's probably a Century gun.

You have some very nice guns there. My Garand and 1903a3 are my favorite firearms along with my Finnish M39 Mosin Nagants. The Garand and Springfield 1903a3 are such incredible firearms with important history for our country. Enjoy.

I had problems when I first got mine. I used Slick 50 on the recoil spring and on the underside of the bolt. Ran a couple of magazines through it and cleaned the Slick 50 off. No failures to feed since. I still have problems with brass flying forward and smacking my fingers. ouch
